@norapatato This is the result of me doing geonodes since they were introduced, a combination of many different tutorials on yt and a ton of learning by doing. I don't know if there is a specific tutorial for an effect like this somehwere

@RoxlydeTweets For courses it was mainly the two about animation and rigging from P2Design that I learned a lot from, especially about rigging. Tutorials though.. I've seen so many since I started with blender, there aren't really any specific ones I could recommend or even remember.

For the curious: Sailynn's feathers aren't based on alpha cards nor instances. Every single feather is generated from a single geonode hair strand or curve, based on how it's shaped and a bunch of vertex groups sampled from the body mesh. Every feather is ✨Unique ✨

@FSA_3D You know what makes me sad I spent all this money on a game design degree and I still barely understand what you are saying XD - your work is stellar though, so far beyond anything we were taught

@FishPrison Start simple, try to do some smaller effects with geonodes in your projects. The first thing I ever did was using geonodes for bulges instead of a cast modifier, or scattering some instances here and there. Learn the basics of context and fields, then expand from there.

@FSA_3D Even more impressive, I cant wrap my head around Geo nodes, always seems more difficult to make work and seems unstable Do you got any tips?
