We've had such a busy month during #NationalFestivalofFieldwork ! Place geography in Minehead yesterday with A Level geographers from @TheCooperSchool and @HerschelGrammar . Took a moment to sit down with one of the Minehead Metalheads community statues. #senseofplace

With the #NationalFestivalofFieldwork well underway, we were very excited to take @WestonbirtSch to Braunton Burrows today to look at psammoseral succession. The Burrows are England’s largest sand dune system and harbour over 500 different plant species! #NFF @The_GA

A rather challenging day at Porlock Weir as the wind and rain did its best to dampen our spirits. We also managed to trap 7 wood mice overnight as we continued our ecology studies. I think all will sleep well tonight #fscnettlecombecourt @FSCNettlecombe #bromleyhighschool

Before heading home, Year 5 had an exciting morning checking their mammal traps! We took a look to see what we had caught before safely releasing the animals back to their habitats. We are now on our way back home after a fantastic week away. Thank you, Nettlecombe Court! 🥾🏞️
