How do you stop yourself from going CRAZY over #SourceCitations? I'm trying to cite a PDF version of the 1930 census enumerator instructions, which can be found on the census[.]gov site. Bit confused over what goes first: PDF details or website details. #Genealogy

@geneastories It does seem odd that there isn't even one match. I have a second cousin w/ 266 cM shared and 7 matches. Our family comes from a small town in Sicily so it's nice to have a handful of matches. Maybe that side of the family comes from a lesser tested group?

@veranmiller I'm so jealous! My father and three brothers won't help me either because of fears that the government wants to steal their DNA and use it for nefarious reasons. 😒 yay for your 2c1x!

My 2nd cousinx1 just told me to go to town with his DNA file from 23andme. You bet! I can do Y-DNA for the line of my great-great-grandfather!!!! My own brothers won’t help me with our father’s line because of scares about health insurance companies.

I'm tediously recreating the 1910 U.S. census fields in a spreadsheet because *all* of the available templates available are in PDF format and I don't want to pay $25 p/m to convert them to an editable doc format. 🙄 #GenealogyProblems

Does anyone know of any #genealogy / #ancestry slack or discord channels? I LOVE chatting with people in real time, but of course the lack of in-person events makes that harder.

My Nonna's name was Maria Stagno and my Bisnonna was Margherita Musarella. Both from Giardini-Naxos, Messina, Italy.

Happy #InternationalWomensDay! Celebrating with photos of the strong women who made me who I am. From left to right: Me, my Mum, my Nonna, and my Bisnonna. <3 I never got to meet my maternal Nonna or Bisnonna but I know some of their stories and how they shaped who I am today.

@AllThoseBefore I recently discovered that my husband’s GGF married his daughter-in-law’s sister shortly after his first wife died. Must’ve been a bit awkward for his poor son! Both ladies were in their late teens, too. 😬

Genealogical Principals is finishing up this week and I’m feeling torn about what my next steps should be. I learnt SO much! I need to practice before jumping into the BU Cert. but I like being kept accountable. Any ideas?? TIA!

Day 1 of the Genealogical Principals class at Boston Uni (@BU_Tweets)! I’m very excited to meet likeminded people and take my first steps toward becoming a professional genealogist. 🎉

#Genealogy often reminds me how short a time we have on this earth and how important it is not to waste it. My dear Nonna had 84 years. She should have had more, nevertheless she made such an impact on my life. I wonder who might say the same about me when I am gone. ❤️

Today I played with the @MyHeritage enhancement feature and I am in love. Look at this comparison! We can finally see their beautiful faces clearly. My Nonna with her siblings and Mum in Giardini-Naxos, Sicily, Italy <3 #Genealogy

My beloved Nonna, Giuseppa Mangani, passed away 3 weeks ago at the age of 84. I was robbed of the chance to say goodbye to her or to go to her funeral. I still can't quite believe it. My Nonno is devastated. They were married for 66 years. Riposa in pace, Nonna <3
