In 2025 James Wynn ran a 50x leveraged $BTC long on HyperLiquid to $100M+ in unrealized profit He became famous He launched a memecoin "MOONPIG" and it pumped to $120M MC in a few days off the hype @cz_binance got in touch with him and they became DM pals @justinsuntron hosted an exclusive interview with him People begged him to take profit. His response: "Money is not real" His position was hunted down and his $100M+ profit was wiped out He asked for donations to help keep the position open But that wasn't enough. He got liquidated and lost everything What's left are his followers Majority of whom only followed him during the hype So what does he do? He starts scamming them using his $100M uPnL run as his credibility badge He starts launching rugs and pump & dumps to "make it back" supposedly He ran fraudulent pre-sales for memecoins which he rugged But one thing was clear He was making money while his followers were losing money But his followers are catching on His pump & dumps are not pumping anymore His scams a no longer lucrative So what does he do? He launches a Perp Dex: WynnDex(.)io Don't click the link. This is probably his ultimate heist Perp DEX's require users to deposit real money in return for on-screen balances So James Wynn, the infamous fraudster, is asking his followers to trust him once again with their hard-earned-cash His antecedents speaks volumes He has no shame and fears no consequences He'll steal the money The more people sign up, the bigger the honeypot grows; and when it's big and juicy enough, he'll rug it Just like the fraudulent pre-sales he ran in the past Just like the pump & dumps he scammed people with Don't fall victim Report and block his account Hopefully 𝕏 will take action before he succeeds in pulling off his ultimate heist At least the post has a Community Note warning people about his account. Beware the empathy exploit. Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow). For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.
