At the Environmental and Gardening Club March meeting, experts from Wildlands Conservancy and Penn State Extension joined us. We planned a native meadow at Fogelsville and built mason bee houses from recycled cans to support our pollinators.

At our last school-wide positive behavior assembly, we learned about bravery and how we can show bravery by being honest and owning our mistakes when we make them. We had fun singing karaoke and celebrating our foxes who have been excellent role models in the school!

Environmental & Gardening Club members read NASA books to younger students! They read about the Artemis Orion capsule that took the FV Moon Tree seed into space & will soon take astronauts around the Moon, the powerful SLS rocket, and the EGS team that prepares it all for launch.

We celebrated Read Across America last week with some special visitors from Springhouse Middle School! These former Fogelsville Foxes visited classrooms to read with students and lead them in some special activities. Once a fox, always a fox!

Buddy classes in action! Mrs. Foresto's fourth grade class and Ms. Flicker's first grade class enjoyed some time reading together!

At the February Environmental and Gardening Club meeting, Mrs. Brooks from the Penn State Extension explained the benefits of using seed tapes for spring planting. Afterward, all the students got to make their own seed tapes using toilet paper and carrot seeds.

The Orion capsule carried our Moon Tree seed to space and will soon take 4 astronauts (and our name!) around the Moon. 🚀 Huge thanks to Lehigh Print & Data in Macungie for the boarding passes so students and staff could join the Artemis II mission celebration!
