Pacific Island fishers are turning tuna vessels into ocean observing platforms. This is PI-FVON, led by @FVoceanON in collaboration with @moninya, @unsw, @SPC_cps, @IMOS_aus, & @EnvDefenseFund. Tuna is vital. Data helps fishers adapt. This is @FVoceanON. By fishers, for fishers.

In the Pacific Islands, local crews are transforming tuna vessels into ocean observing platforms to collect vital data. It's called PI-FVON (Pacific Islands Fishing Vessel Ocean Observing Network), a collaborative effort b/w EDF, @FVoceanON, @unsw, @SPC_cps, @IMOS_aus & @moninya.
