#BTS Tour Announcement was released 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 The Tour will start on 9th April 2026! BTS IS COMING BTS WORLD TOUR IS COMING BTS COMEBACK IS COMING #BTSComeback2026

🐨 We got these 4 rooms and we invited these great songwriters, composers, producers, instrumentalists and we would all go in on different days. So one day I'll go into a room with JK and work all day in there. Another day I'll go in another room with Taehyung and work all day. And about 5ppl will be in there and do what we can to write a song or two.

🐨 So how do we bring all of these together? In the old days, I (usually me) or Yoongi-hyung would bring us forward, but now all of the members (and this is our strength) but all of us want to protect our great and precious relationship and so we're careful.

🐨 At first, we weren't going to have Swim be our title track. We wanted something more powerful and energetic. But BTS was coming back and what should be our title track? Everything each of us said could be the right answer and also not the right answer. Some ppl would want Dynamite and some ppl would want something like ON or something like Hooligan that just came out. Some ppl might say, no BTS should do something like this, like Spring Day. We did so many genres in our years so, so everyone's preferences were different. Our fans could feel differently from each other and our members could feel differently and various departments could feel differently. It was too hard to get consensus.

🐨 The original title for Aliens was Endless. But "endless" sounded a bit empty. "We have no end." It was too abstract. The phonetics were delicious. But "we have no end." So we changed it to "aliens." We were saying, "Hi guys, we are aliens from Korea." We thought about doing it that way. The two words, "aliens" and "endless", sound similar phonetically and we could keep the existing flavor of the words. And this way the song could reflect our originality.

🐨 The lyrics about our pride in being Koreans, I could have written them in a more poetic and showy way. But I had to complement the phonetic style of the existing lines and this song is really just saying "We're aliens, so what?" And with our international ARMYs singing along, there can be an interesting transference, a reversal. 🐨 And so I think I had hopes that more people would know about these lyrics, whether as a meme or as mockery, since the lyrics speak out directly.

🐨 Aliens was difficult to write in Korean. I wrote a lot of in English at first. But the members found the pronunciation difficult and this song is about Korea too. And it really wasn't easy to switch back and forth between Korean and English and keep the flavor of the words. It took a long while.

🐨 FYA is a song that we wrote because we wanted to try and surpass Hooligan in intensity and quality.

🐨 Flume had several thousands of beats. We couldn't hear them all, but we were listening to about 200 of them and the one that started with this motorcycle sound was really great. 🐨 And "it's fya"... the phrase that we said the most at song camp was "that's fire". When we were working, we'd get exhausted. This song would sound like that song, this melody would sound like that melody. And as we went along, if someone was doing one thing and then did something else [better], we'd go "oh, bro, that's fire!" That became our habit. Kind of like how Koreans ask, "Have you eaten? Let's eat." It's that kind of feeling. This compliment "that's fire" was fun so we thought why don't we try it out? I tried out some "it's fya" lines and the guys all said it seemed good and so I asked JPEG-hyung to improvise on "it's fya" and he did and I thought, "oh, it works!" After that, we added the melody and that's how it came about.

🐨 Yesterday after the AMAs, we thought about going to the after party and mingling with artists and producers a bit, we thought about it and then didn't go. I was afraid to and the members have difficulty with English and some of us don't like mingling.

Fortunately, not the case of ARMY!

🐨 As I’ve been going to Korea, Japan, the US & Mexico, I’ve already seen that in your eyes. Ah, we’re still connected. And of course, you can film on your phones. I film too. When I go to concerts, I film too. But still, at that concert, there are many moments when we look into each other’s eyes The reason I like movie theaters is that when you go to a theater, you have to turn your phone off for two hours, right? That time when, for 2 hours, you let yourself be completely led by the director’s intention, that’s something we really don’t have anymore Of course, coming & recording & filming is your entirely rightful privilege as people who came all the way there. But while you’re filming, during certain songs, there’s this energy in that moment that only the tens of thousands of people there, including the 7 of us, can feel. The moments when we look at one another, sing the same lyrics together, jump together & wave our hands together, I think those moments will only become more precious & more valuable as time goes on I think that experience will become more of a luxury in the future, in many different senses

Watching that sun — at the sea of 50,000 or 60,000 ARMY Bombs, and all of your faces…” Into The Sun is truly a masterpiece😭😭 🐨: The last one is “Into The Sun” 🐨: The song was always great, but you really realize how amazing it is when it’s performed live. 🐨: I’ll probably be a few hours late again today, but honestly, all kinds of thoughts are going through my mind. 🐨: To me, a truly great song is one that can make you feel so many layered emotions — joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness all at once. 🐨: The sun is setting, there are seven people walking into the fading sunset. 🐨: Right now, honestly, regarding all the members... one of the things I think is our current strength and weakness—well, actually, it’s a strength—is that all the members are very careful. They are very considerate of one another. Because nobody wants to break this huge... this huge and very close relationship, everyone is extremely cautious. If a member expresses that they dislike something even a little bit, everyone tends to try and respect that. 🐨: But the problem is, because of that, we can never narrow things down to just one decision. Like, maybe two people don't want to do something, four people think it’s fine, and one person doesn’t really care and says they'll just go along with whatever the others choose. 🐨: Because of this, even before getting discharged from the military, I had a hunch that the entire process—from making the album, releasing it, putting on concerts, and doing the tour—would start and end with how we make these decisions. And that hunch was right, in the end. So, out of the tracks we had from that pre-session, we weeded a few out…
