@gf5555 @sophielouisecc We don't get paid over time and so many were doing over time or asked to cancel their annual leave. I haven't had a "holiday" in over 2 years because my annual leave has been recovering from burn out. NSH and social care is still under as much pressure as we were during covid19

@sophielouisecc You have to ask why public sector workers fail to mention they enjoy 25 days fully paid holiday Sick Pay 20% pension contributions (private averages 3%) Jobs for life Annual incremental pay rise (regardless of performance) Subsidised canteen

I'm sure this is helpful advice for individual grants too. As an #OT I fill out grants for #patients to access equipment they need that is not funded by the #NHS or #socialcare budget.

@Jopo_dr @DoctorMayJay Yes! So many issues with my local pharmacies due to this. And medication shortage.

@DoctorMayJay Also the assumption pharmacists are any less affected by demand for services and staff - two I went to last weekend were closed for staff shortages! Fundamentally we just need more trained healthcare workers and allied professionals and actual investment

@Juliet_Young1 @nicolameadOT Thank you! When I was a community engagement officer I was told my job role to encourage the 'hard to reach' groups into fitness. Essentially my role was to change the service to meet their needs but the leisure centre pushed back constantly coz they didn't get it! Now I'm an OT

@ShabaNabi I'm literally speechless. Why they doing that, unless they are all elderly or disabled or pregnant and you are the only one not in those categories. If they are doing that just because of the colour of your skin, they suck! I'm sorry you have to go through that.

Love when non-disabled people chime in on debates about medications and their relative safety, who do not in fact take those medications. When xantac was taken off the market for "cancer concerns" that weren't even at concerning levels, my health tanked. 1/4
