If you are a HR person, please update. Becasue if you don't, you will cost India 4% of its GDP. Also, during #Census2027, please let all disabled people be counted. That's one favour you could do for our country and for everyone concerned. They deserve to be counted. Watch the conversation for more.

@canarabank , I am a person with blindness using a screen reader. I accidentally signed up for an autosubscription that I want to cancel. You direct me to SIHUB, where I keep putting my user ID, password (for at least 50 times). They ask me to give a password with precisely two capital letters, two small, two special, two numbers and not more than 12 characters –I did. On top of it, no audio captcha. When I use JAWS’ picture smart and detect the letters, the site doesn’t accept. I wasted nearly three and a half hours just to unsuccessfully try delinking one autopayment. Please have some mercy on your customers, especially those blind who are using your service. Please help! #Accessibility #AIIY #Disability #InclusiveServices #InclusiveDesign #DisabilityIndia

Yes, SiHub is very inaccessible for people with blindness using screen reader . Use arcane verrification methods. What is wrong if they keep a simple workable solutions? We understand the need to protect, but you don't hafvve to make your customer die before accessing his account!! This is bad service.

Is there a banking interface more glitchy and difficult than @StanChart SiHub? Supposedly helps you ‘manage payments seamlessly’ but only if you can get into it! Endless loops and re-registering #StandardChartered

is Iran withdrawing from the FIFA World Cup? Is America asking not to participate? Or, will the event will take place at all, given the prevailing situation? These are the points that I have discussed with my good friend G Krishnan. Watch and enjoy.

no one else in your life can motivate you. You have to motivate yourself. That was my message to a bunch of blind kids and their parents. I have spoken about it in this video. @gikkukrishnan

Many people lose vision as they grow older. For them, Audio Description can be a lifeline. Once they get used to it, they realise they are not missing much on screen. All the more reason to build systems that help people overcome the trauma of sight loss and learn to use assistive technology.

These days I watch AD enabled shows on @Netflix_INSouth . Audio Description narrates the visual details I cannot see. Thirty years ago my friends at @kcvblr used to whisper those details into my ears on theaters in college. Watching #TheCrown this way was a delight.

Big day for blind and hearing impaired movie buffs: the Central Board of Film Certification, @CBFC_India , is making Audio Descriptions and subtitles mandatory for all Indian films. This is huge because I have personally experienced the immersive experience AD gives to a blind person. Also, had the privilege of closely observing the tireless work of people like @madhaviprathi , who have been working hard to make this a reality. So it’s time to cheer. #AccessibleFilms #InclusiveEntertainment #Acccessibility #Disability CBFC Makes Subtitles Mandatory for All Indian Films From March 15 | Filmfare.com

Sudden blindness offers no transition. One moment, sight. The next, none. Survivors speak of a silence inside them — not just of sound, but of language itself. The trauma was real, but the words to hold it simply were not there. #TraumaRecovery #BlindnessAwareness

For those who go blind gradually, the cruelty is different. Each day takes a little more. But the emotional processing does not keep pace with the physical loss. People often reach total blindness still unprepared — still searching for the words. #VisionImpairment #ChronicIllness

When blindness arrives — suddenly or in slow, creeping stages — the mind is rarely ready. There is no rehearsal for the dark. Besides personal experience, I heard patients of gradual vision loss say they had no time to process what was happening to them. The world simply changed, without warning or mercy. 🧵#BlindnessAwareness #VisionLoss

Seem to be more sixes than dot balls in this India T20 innings. Unequal contest between bat and ball , and despite the ‘boundary blitz ‘ , just a bit boring.

Watch tennis, where Alcaraz or Sinner keep winning. Djokovic won 24 titles, Rafa 22 and Roger 20. Hope that did not bore you! Or Rugby where the southern hemisphere teams dominate, or golf where one Tiger Woods kept winnning! Or Athletics where those like Marion Jones kept wiinning!

@cricket_badger Without a contest World Cup is on the top. Honestly, cricket buffs follow IPL but watching every match is a thing that we reserve for signnificant and tough encounters such as WC or WTC test cycle.
