HalfdanVT adjusted the lace of his fur-lined gown, the pink satin shimmering in the torchlight as he strode into the mead hall, hips swaying like he knew someone was watching. That someone was Anchry—stoic, broad-shouldered, and currently nursing his seventh glass of goat milk. “Anchry,” Halfdan purred, the blue paint on his nose catching the firelight. “Are you ever going to ravage my heart, or should I keep throwing myself at you like I throw almost every game I play?” Anchry grunted. “You’re wearing heels.” “I always wear heels,” Halfdan hissed. “For you.” A beat of silence passed. Then Anchry’s gaze slowly dropped to the curve of Halfdan’s bicep beneath the off-shoulder dress. “Are those.. freckles?,” Anchry said. Halfdan leaned in, breath hot like forge-fire. “Oh yes, and they are everywhere” Anchry blushed. A blush. Victory.
