From a reader on Chow living in low-rent co-op housing, and hiding what she made: "Regarding Chow and the Community Housing. I knew a Toronto Police officer who worked that Co-op neighborhood and Olivia would call them regularly to remove any and all homeless or potentially dangerous looking individuals from the area where they were living." #topoli

A biophysics grad was just detained under BC's Mental Health Act. All based on a psychiatrist's opinion after observing him in a cafe. He looked at him & said “I’m certifying you” THAT’S ALL IT TOOK. No warrant. No on scene evaluation. No psych evaluation. No paperwork shown. No chance to comply voluntarily. Just because a psychiatrist saw him in a cafe. Meanwhile, the same city has a documented drug addicts, where one person, has been apprehended 79 times and is still on the street. The government can grab a credentialed researcher off the road in 20 minutes but it can't keep a chronic offender out of the same intersection for more than a week? What a joke.

✈️ Air Canada employee Parmpal Sidhu is facing charges in a massive airport drug-smuggling ring. While working a warehouse job that pays around $50k a year, he was posting Instagram flexes from the Ritz-Carlton Dubai, flying business class, driving a Mercedes G-Wagon, sipping $1,000 champagne, and showing off high-powered rifles at the range. This is how drugs are allegedly being smuggled through Canadian airports — by insiders living like kings on the proceeds. The case is still before the courts, but the pictures don’t lie. This is what “speeds never seen before” looks like under the Liberals: record smuggling, open borders, and zero accountability. How many more insiders are on the payroll? Drop a 🔥 if you’re sick of this. #CDNPoli #AirportSmuggling #BorderSecurity #CarneyFail

You and your top-cover @AndreaHorwath (in the midst of her own precipitous downfall) should expect another OAG Whistleblower Complaint on this matter. Suspect Council also has your employment in the crosshairs on this one. Do yourself (and taxpayers) a favor Marnie - quit!

Simply put, the @cityofhamilton must fire CM Marnie Cluckie with cause. The string of incompetant (possibly criminal) hirings (ie Prasad) and promotions (ie Mater) are an embarassment for Council, and dp nothing to improve accountability at City. thespec.com/news/hamilton-…

Her baby’s father was murdered. She was pregnant at the time. There was overwhelming evidence. CCTV footage. Took 7 months to charge & arrest him. She was told “if you don’t feel safe, go on vacation” When he was finally arrested, he was immediately out on bail. The same person that killed him, in ‘06/07, he was going to bomb a night club. He was caught on a wire tap, saying he didn’t care how many people he took out. We was sentenced to 8 years. Got out in 4. He was then charged with 1st degree murder. Acquitted because witness didn’t want to testify. Three years AFTER he murdered her baby’s father, and being out on bail, he was finally sentenced to 15 years in jail. And now, after only 4 years, he’s able to apply for day parole. She’s going to leave Canada. OUR GOVERNMENT HAS FAILED HER. And countless other Canadians. THIS IS UNFORGIVABLE.

Oh boy, really curious to see how this translates into real life. Special hiring policies for the homeless? Entrance fees to public amenities waived? Decorum rules suspended? Drunk and disorderly bylaws unconstitutional? Can we paywall a zoo? Can we kick people out of libraries?
Diana Chan McNally@DianaCMcNally

BIG news out of Kitchener-Waterloo: the Ontario Superior Court has ruled that homelessness is an analogous ground for discrimination under s.15 of the Charter. This is a BIG step toward recognizing homeless people as an equity-seeking group under the law. Governments take note!

City Council decides to pay 55% of Chris Moise’s legal fees FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Toronto, ON — May 21, 2026 — Seventeen months after the initial integrity complaint was filed against Councillor Chris Moise for conduct unbecoming of a City official, Toronto City Council voted to reimburse 55 percent of the Councillor’s submitted legal bill, representing a taxpayer-funded reimbursement of $15,403. IntegrityTO is disappointed that 16 councillors believed it appropriate for taxpayers to cover this legal expense after Councillor Moise was found to have violated the City’s  Code of Conduct. “By awarding Councillor Moise a $15,403 taxpayer-funded reimbursement, Council sends the message that elected officials can disrespect constituents, bring disrepute to their office, and still have a majority of their legal fees covered by public money. This erodes deterrence for bad behaviour on the part of government officials.” said Daniel Tate, Executive Director of IntegrityTO. The debate over whether to reimburse Moise’s roughly $28,000 legal bill stretched over more than two months, involved lengthy deliberations at two City Council meetings, and exposed confusion among councillors regarding the City’s reimbursement policy for legal expenses arising from Integrity Commissioner investigations. Despite introducing the motion to reimburse half of the outstanding legal fees, Councillor Jon Burnside criticized Moise for substantially exceeding the City’s existing $5,000 guaranteed reimbursement, stating: “For me, as a steward of public funds, I would have never gone and spent $23,000 more [in legal costs] and put council in this position.” Six councillors ultimately voted against reimbursing 50 percent of the outstanding legal fees. IntegrityTO hopes this matter serves as a lesson to elected officials that treating constituents with dignity and respect is among the most fundamental responsibilities of public office. When those standards are violated, taxpayers should not be expected to absorb the financial consequences.

This is an absolute disgrace and yet another example why change is desperately needed at Toronto city Council: a councilor gets his *personal* legal fees covered, for an integrity commissioner review of *his* conduct. You can't make this shit up. #topoli

@Twolfrecovery Mean no disrespect to Angelenos - Lord knows your Canadian counterparts to the north in BC gave incumbent Eby another 4 years to wreak chaos and destroy the province not too long ago - but, how does even the most obnoxious champagne socialist move past the Palisades debacle?

@Twolfrecovery For the record, Nithya is clearly a worse option than Bass, and even more clearly, jumped in to collude with Bass on avoiding a head-to-head Pratt run-off, but I am just gobsmacked that people exist, not directly benefitting from the LA downfall, who want 4 more years of Bass

Of course he’s going to behave like a dog. Here’s Wab Kinew's criminal record: -2003: convicted of refusing a breathalyzer -2004: pleaded guilty to assaulting a Winnipeg taxi driver (court record: directed racial slurs at the driver, punched him in the face) -2004: conditional discharge for a separate assault in Ontario -2003: two charges of assaulting his then-girlfriend (stayed by the Crown; Kinew denies) -2005: theft under $5,000 charge for cashing a money order that wasn't his (stayed) -Two breaches of court orders during the same period I’d expect nothing less from this bum.

The language and content of this article is designed to downplay the scandal as much as possible. No details are given about the show’s extensive use of deception, and no quotes are included by those affected by it. This is another example of how the Canadian Press (the wire service which originally wrote this) has a significant left-wing bias. I’m thankful that Postmedia dropped them as a news source this spring, dealing a severe blow to their revenues.
