The Faculty Senate elections for colleges should be close to completion. Results should be submitted to the Faculty Senate office as soon as possible. Contact the Faculty Senate office with any questions.

(4/4) 2. Amend the Faculty Senate apportionment to accommodate the increased number of faculty being represented as a result of change #1 and in response to the growth of the faculty in general over the past 70 years. 3. Remove the requirement for Alternate Senators.

(3/4) 1. Include select Special Faculty ranks in the definition of “Constitutional Faculty”, enabling them to be eligible for election (by their colleges) to Faculty Senate and participate in the General Faculty Meeting.

(1/4 ) The Faculty Senate passed a resolution that will be presented to the faculty during the General Faculty meeting in August to amend the constitution of the Faculty of Clemson University. This proposal will join another proposed amendment on the agenda for consideration.

The Class of ’39 Unveiling Ceremony and Reception took place Tuesday, February 14th to honor Dr. Brian A. Powell. Honorary members of the Class, colleagues, friends, and family were present as Dr. Powell’s name was revealed at the base of the bell in the Carillon Garden.

The Faculty Senate met on Tuesday, October 11th. The Policy Committee and the Welfare Committee each presented their reports. These reports will be brought forth to be adopted by the Senate through a vote at the next regular meeting of the Faculty Senate.
