@SMKRanger I still have a lot to learn in that matchup. Currently losing neutral 75% of the time until I get to 100 and then I play to not die. It’s decent enough to beat sheik sometimes cuz she can’t kill, but I need to find better ways to interact esp if I don’t have a lead. Thx tho :3

@LiebeOnABus He’s high tier at worst. Idk if I would say +3 tho lol. The problem with Shulk is that his counterplay is so universal. You beat him by having good use of parry, whiff punish, and overshoots. Few characters expressly shut down Shulk, but there are just as few who cant do anything

@RobbieAK_ All of the characters in that tier are extremely beatable if you have proper practice/matchup knowledge. However, the gameplans they have to execute on are just less obtuse than Shulk. Sonic def feels like that to me, but I do think it’s Shulk’s best MU in that tier

@BluArrow4505 If Baru and Astrum start going once Mikey goes back to Philly I might PU. Obviously if a bunch of central people go, I will be there as well. Could also see a world where, once I start working, a Friday night local would be more appealing

@BluArrow4505 I don’t really have too much interest atm. Being 30 minutes from fusion and transcendence has made me a lot more picky about going to events lol. 1.5 hour drive for an 8pm bracket where I’m gonna get underseeded and have to fight through hell just isn’t the most appealing tbh

@BoscoMan7 The characters in the lower tier I think are functionally even if you really know the matchup and have a decent read on your opponent. Rob gets to the point where the opponent has to make big explicit mistakes for you to win consistently, imo

@BoscoMan7 When making the list, I did think about putting snake in his own tier. I do believe there is a decent gap between how hard Rob is to beat and Snake. However, I think that gap is smaller than the gap between Rob and whoever is below him

IMO, most people dont actually think camping more will help them. They just say this shit to protect their egos because in one sentence it communicates both "I could win if I tried" and "I'm a cooler/more aggro player than you". There’s a reason why they don’t follow through

my 2-2er ass probably shouldn't be talking like this but I think the mentality of "I just need to camp more" as an attempt to problem solve in ultimate is a fundamentally flawed way of thinking and is a great way of pigeonholing yourself into the mid level forever
