It’s “LGBT.” I am not adding “2S” to it. That belongs under T. Same with I. I’m not adding asexual to it, because there’s no public policy stake and it’s silly. Same thing with “questioning,” “queer” and “+” No public policy stake. Lesbians, gays and trans people are highly discriminated against by public policy. Y’all. Our political situation is dire. But it’s a little dramatic to invoke the Holocaust over a detransition center being forcibly opened by the justice department. A lot of teen girls are detransitioning, should never have been medicalized with testosterone, and that’s just a fact. Someone is going to have to develop a pipeline to address the damage to their bodies. Ironically, trans women are in the position to best help them.

I’ve got to be honest with y’all. If the Democratic Party continues on this path, becoming a mirror of MAGA unable to grapple with basic reality, I don’t know who I’m gonna vote for. We are where the Republican Party was in 2016. An extremist movement taking over, our party leaders sacrificing all their principles for power. And I say this, as someone for whom the stakes could not be higher. The Republicans will continue eliminating people like me from public life if they win in 2028. I don’t think I will have any civil rights left. But I’m not gonna tell you what our party is becoming is not disgusting. It is.
