Spent the last 3 weeks in Khao Lak and it’s nearly time to go. What I’ll remember most: endless empty beaches, not a grain of sand out of place, and hidden coves you can have all to yourself. Slow, quiet, exactly what I needed. Back to Ao Nang on Monday.

I always set a strict budget before a trip. Then I land in Thailand… and it goes out the window. It’s never stupid spending. It’s the island tour, the Thai massage, the sunset boat I didn’t plan. Technically I go over budget. But I’ve never once regretted the experience.
