My sons used to get actual haircuts with a scissor for $12.00 back in NYC by the old Italian barber shop. Clippers were only used on the sideburns and back of the neck to clean up and make it neat and finished. The price went up to $15.00 when the creeping crud hit back in 2020. Now, can not find a barber shop anywhere. Everything is an overpriced chop job with clippers by a 'stylist'. Sadly, it's just another dying 'old world skill' in the USA, no different than the shoemaker/shoe repair shop and the local tailor shop.

Young 'widows' grieve, get their settlement check, then they move on, start dating, fall in love and remarry. The family though (parents and siblings), will forever feel the pain of losing their loved one and the empty chair at the once happy family table. I know this all too well, as does my family. Back in the early days of 9-11's aftermath, the FDNY widows were at the forefront constantly. I commented to my parents, so my 29 year relationship with my brother is suddenly nothing because he never married or had kids? Some of these widows were married for 2 seconds. That is when my folks started speaking up with other parents of the unmarried FDNY murdered that day. There is something off about the widow Kirk. She strikes me as ungenuine and frankly, I'm tired of seeing her face, with her going through the motion of wiping away tears that never form or fall as the tissue remains dry. She needs to STFD and focus on raising her young children instead of taking center stage parading around in leather pants and sequin suits looking like she is going clubbing and has a joyous occasion to celebrate.
