The agentic economy has shifted from thesis to reality.
New protocols. New payment primitives. Agents operating as full economic actors.
We build at this layer. Agentic Economy Briefing is our monthly dispatch to track what's taking shape.

Our latest article on Bit2 design is out! This time, we focus on the importance of verifiable payment proofs.
In human commerce, a payment is complete when both parties agree.
In agentic commerce, machines, smart contracts, and autonomous systems need to verify payment outcomes independently without asking anyone, without callbacks, without trust assumptions.
A payment that can't be proven to a third party isn't a primitive you can build automation on.
Bit2 produces globally verifiable, non-interactive payment proofs. Senders can prove a receiver accepted. Receivers can prove a specific invoice was paid. Any third party can verify, no interaction required.

Whether a payment is worth making depends on what it costs to make it.
fairgate.io/post/43-bit2-a…
In agentic commerce, milliseconds of compute, microservice calls, sensor data, energy usage, fees that seem small at human scale become structural barriers at machine scale.
Most systems tie transaction costs to two things: locked liquidity or L1 bandwidth. Both get expensive under volume.
Bit2 decouples from both. Thousands of transactions share a single L1 commitment. No persistent liquidity lockups. Fees reflect actual resource usage, and almost nothing else.
Sixth entry in our series on the features defining Bit2 and the agentic economy already upon us.

In agentic commerce, payments are continuous, parallel, and machine-generated.
fairgate.io/post/42-bit2-s…
A network that congests under load makes entire categories of economic activity unviable.
Microtransactions, API calls, sensor data, energy coordination. All of it breaks if throughput fails.
Bit2 approaches scalability differently: No routing liquidity, no centralized sequencer, no per-transaction proof requirement in the common case. Execution is local, time-stamping is parallelizable, and throughput scales without competing for shared resources.
Fifth entry in our series on the features defining Bit2 and the agentic economy already upon us.

Most payment systems assume your wallet is always online, always watching.
fairgate.io/post/41-agenti…
Hardware wallets exist precisely because keys should be able to stay offline for weeks, months, years.
These two models coexist in tension. Bit2 resolves it.
Client-side validation removes time-critical dependencies entirely. No monitoring requirements, no reaction windows. The only thing you need to preserve is your state data, and that can be backed up asynchronously, without pressure.
Fourth entry in our series on the features defining Bit2 and its key role in the agentic economy.

AI agents are becoming economic actors. They're initiating actions, procuring resources, and transacting continuously, globally.
And the financial rails to support them are being shaped right now. At Fairgate, we're building them.
The future is closer than it looks.
Agentic Economy Briefing is our monthly newsletter to follow it closely.

Network fees get all the attention. But in most payment systems, the real cost is invisible.
fairgate.io/post/40-how-co…
Capital locked in channels, liquidity pools, shared UTXOs are funds that can't be put to work elsewhere.
That opportunity cost has to be recovered somehow. Over time, it ends up in fees.
As agentic commerce scales, this becomes a structural problem, not a rounding error.
Bit2 decouples payment throughput from collateral requirements. Transaction costs reflect actual resource usage, not the price of immobilizing capital.
Third entry in our series on the features defining Bit2 and the agentic economy already upon us.

In a world of automated commerce, every visible transaction is a data leak.
fairgate.io/post/39-confid…
Competitors inferring your suppliers. Pricing strategies exposed. Business relationships mapped in real time, without anyone breaking in.
Autonomous agents transacting at scale require an architecture that preserves confidentiality by design.
Bit2 approaches it by decoupling verification from visibility. Zero-knowledge proofs confirm correctness without revealing transactions, amounts, or counterparties.
Discover the next generation of financial infrastructure.

In the agentic economy, autonomous agents need payments that are fast, private, and reliable, without depending on intermediaries or shared infrastructure.

Autonomous markets require more than programmable execution.
fairgate.io/bit2
They require enforceable outcomes.
Bit2 introduces a new coordination layer for Bitcoin where:
Execution occurs locally
Participants validate their own transactions
Final outcomes anchor to Bitcoin
Built around client-side validation, Bit2 enables scalable coordination between autonomous agents.
