Do you know how to build a fire pit? The Outdoor Writing Club brainstormed what they thought they would need, recording it in their booklet. Then @MrsCarder_hps demonstrated the process. Of course marshmallows were used to test the fire pit. Finally booklets updated. 📝👏

We have had a lovely but emotional time celebrating with S6 as they start their final journey to checking out of JYHS for good. We enjoyed our leavers lunch on Friday and will of course mark the occasion as we always do when exams are over and prom arrives. P1s visited the school garden looking for fairies and elves. They listened to @MrsCarder_hps read a poem that described who lived behind each fairy door then they matched them with the fairy 🧚 or elf. Good listening & discussions on the picture clues 👏
