Really pleased to say that @SplashMusicCo has been Fairly Trained certified. At a time when some AI music companies argue they have the right to build their AI models on musicians' work without permission or payment - and when musicians are increasingly worried about what this would mean for their future - it's really important that we celebrate the work of companies like Splash, who show that another approach is possible. AI can benefit music and musicians - but only if AI companies license the music on which they build their products.

We are proud to announce that our audio model has been @fairlytrained certified. Our commitment to training 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 on fully-licensed music is the most important pillar of our approach as we set the standard for copyright compliance in text-to-music generation.

@katriaraden It is taking time (apologies) but we are looking into it. Delay is due to having limited resources at our disposal. As we (hopefully) grow we will be able to move faster. Will revert on this asap.

@katriaraden @USClaireForce Thank you! We will look into this. This also makes us think we should have somewhere on our site for questions like this.

So-called ethical models should not be free of scrutiny. Why is it BRIA.ai returns images of orange lizards when "Charizard" is prompted? I'll admit more research needs to be done but just because something is marketed as ethical does not mean it is necessarily.
