Today marks the 80th anniversary of “D-Day”. Fairmount would like to take a moment to recognize, remember and honor, those who fought that day. To those who dropped behind enemy lines and to those who stormed beaches against overwhelming odds. Thank you. As you are the real hero.

Wear a “PFD” personal flotation device/life jacket whenever around moving water. Even if you’re a good swimmer the creek has added dangers that most people don’t take into account. The water current can sweep you off your feet and hold you under water. Stay safe this summer

With warmer days ahead, will see a increase in people coming down to Golden to enjoy a day of cooling off in Clear Creek by floating down on a inflatable tube. With increased rise in water level, Golden Fire sees a increase in water rescues.
