Eco-Squad members from Year 5 and 6 have learnt about how idling vehicles contribute to air pollution. They have been set a task to create posters encouraging vehicle owners to switch off their engines when parked outside of school.
In Year 4, the children were treated to a ’Roman Day’ (thanks to ‘Living History Workshops’). Stingrays started the morning with the children creating a timeline, followed by a battle between the Celts and a Roman Legion.
Stingrays used the school”s new Windows laptops to learn about how to use search engines. They then moved on to completing some Maths work on Purple Mash.
Year 1 loved having Damo & Andy from the @RNLI@SheernessRNLI visit today to talk about their role volunteering as an RNLI lifeguard. They showed us their equipment, talked about water safety and answered our questions about what they do, the boats they use and who they rescue.
Crocodiles absolutely loved our circuit session with Courtney Tulloch on Monday! It was hard work but lots of fun and an amazing experience to meet him!
Lots of hard work and effort going into our newspaper writing inspired by the publication of Anne Frank’s diary in Crocodiles today! We can’t wait to see the finished pieces!
