Flowers, cards, chocolates, maybe a little thoughtful item they like. Or maybe it’s the type of partner (both genders) you have that wants extravagant things, then that’s different. We also shouldn’t get caught up in wanting/giving gifts to flex on others.

“Valentine’s Day is a scam” Each to their own. Totally respect that. My take is that if I love my spouse everyday, why would I not want to show her my affection on the day dedicated to love? Yes consumerism is a scam, but your display of affection doesn’t have to be elaborate.

All day I’ve been walking past young black boys with flowers in their hands. It’s great to see the mandem not afraid to show affection 🤌🏾
