Is there anything worse than a crying baby on a plane? I wish parents would control their children. It’s so disruptive. I refuse to believe a baby cries for 10 hours. At some point this is just bad parenting, right?

You have literally posted the part where the false accuser is punished. That passage protects the woman: –If the husband lies, he’s fined and publicly punished –He can never divorce her –Her honour is legally defended The death penalty only applies if it’s proven she actually committed adultery…same standard applied to men elsewhere. So no, it’s not “innocent women being stoned.” It’s due process in an ancient legal system dealing with real guilt vs false accusation. You are cherry-picking half a law and pretending it says the opposite.

That’s not God “wanting rape.” It’s God pronouncing judgment on David for his own sin…adultery and murder. The passage is describing consequences within a broken, sinful culture, not prescribing or endorsing evil. Notice the context: David took another man’s wife and had him killed. God sends Nathan to confront him. What follows is a prophetic warning that the violence and disorder David introduced into his own house will come back on him. Descriptive ≠ prescriptive. If you read the rest of Scripture, sexual violence is consistently condemned. God is judging sin here, not approving it. You’re not reading the text…you are projecting onto it.

Candace says in her speech that since Charlie passed, it has been Mary who has helped her grieve. She explains that before Charlie died, she had trouble “connecting” with Mary but once he passed, she was able to. This explains a lot. She is blaspheming Christ & practicing idolatry so of course she has since become more & more wicked. “I feel [Mary’s] presence…she is what I needed.” “Mary has a way.” “I ask Mary to wrap me, and my kids, and my family, all I’m praying for, under HER mantle...” “If you put all the love of all the mothers into one heart, it still not be equal with the love of the heart of Mary for her children.”

@LizzieMarbach When someone says Mary helped them grieve, they mean her intercession brought them closer to Jesus, not away from Him. Mary doesn’t replace Christ. She leads to Him.

Since when is being a shill for Islam a Catholic value? The Catholic Church should be more vocal on where it stands with anti-Semitism. How embarrassing for Catholics.

You are arguing against a position the Church doesn’t hold (I sound like a broken record at this point). Catholicism doesn’t claim the Church creates its own authority, but that it receives it from Christ and the apostles who also gave us the canon. That’s not circular, it’s how the canon came to be.

Catholicism hypocritically condemns Christians for Sola Scriptura while they practice Sola Ecclesia. Roman Catholicism believes that the infallible authority of Scripture must have an external authentication. They claim that Scripture cannot stand on its own authority, yet assumes their Church can. Apparently the Catholic church establishes its own infallible authority. They teach Scripture must be authenticated and interpreted by their Church, while their Church gets to authenticate itself. In practice, this is sola ecclesia. If Scripture requires the Roman Catholic churches “infallible” authority to authenticate it then you cannot use Scripture to establish the authority of the Roman Church. It's circular reasoning. If the Roman Catholic Church can authenticate itself as an infallible authority, then the Scripture can authenticate itself as an infallible authority!
Bishop@BishopJaxi

Sola Scriptura is functionally "Scripture according to my interpretation," backed by whatever men agree with me. It is the exaltation of private judgment over the Bible, reinforced by other men who share that same judgment. Every time a Protestant declares something to be "biblical," he is either appealing to his own interpretation of the text or to heretics like John MacArthur to validate that interpretation.
