Had a wonderful, long-overdue meeting today with my friend Mecca Rafiq bhai. We covered a lot of ground, discussing the global situation & how we can better sustain & promote civilisational unity – especially Hindu-Muslim harmony in India & Shia-Sunni solidarity across the world.

Under the Geneva Conventions, the United States has no legal authority to target civilian infrastructure in Iran. Such actions violate not only international legal frameworks but also fundamental principles of humanity. Let peace and diplomacy prevail.

The attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz deserve condemnation. Under either Islam or international law, does Iran have the right to make the rest of the world literally and figuratively pay for a war initiated by two countries? indianexpress.com/article/india/…

I argue in this paper that the Quran imposes no one-third ceiling on testamentary bequests and instead recognises broader testamentary freedom than that permitted under classical Islamic jurisprudence. academia.edu/170070078/Test…

Lasting peace in West Asia won’t come from war. Violence only deepens conflict. The only viable path to a stable and secure future is sustained diplomacy. The United States and Iran must return to the negotiating table.

In the context of the petition in the Supreme Court challenging some provisions of Muslim inheritance law, I argue that the Quran imposes no one-third ceiling on testamentary bequests (waseeyat), but instead recognises unrestricted testamentary freedom. newageislam.com/islamic-sharia…
