Ebenezer had an amazing author visit with Savannah Lehman, writer of Cheetah Fast, today!

It’s time to celebrate Nonfiction November! We kicked off this month with an author visit, lots of nonfiction book choices and new centers!

“Just make a mark and see where it takes you!” Celebrated #internationaldotday with students this week by reading a story by @peterhreynolds titled, The Dot. Students then created their own mark to display.

Having a fabulous start to the school year! Great stories, book check outs and some center time in the LMC.

Finishing up AAPI Month with some great authors and illustrators! Students also enjoyed an AAPI scavenger hunt to discover new places, foods, historical events and important individuals who have made an impact in our world!

This week begins our March Book Madness, Tournament of Picture Books! Also celebrating some great books for Women’s History Month. Saying goodbye to some fun RAA activities until next year!

Finished up our amazing RAA activities! No day is complete without a little reading and Mo Willems board games! Thank you to @falconskeyclub for these amazing STEM kits, where students used book ideas to build structures and contraptions.

As part of our Read Across American week we had some amazing HS student athletes from our basketball teams visit to read and talk with our ELE students! @CCHS_Hoops @amshay51 @CLSD_Schools

Feeling the ❤️ in our LMC this month! Started author studies and switched up our centers. Our Buddha Boards were very popular and donated in honor of this year’s CLSD school Board members!

Finished up our Caldecott and Book Awards Unit. Moving full speed into Book Tastings and Author Studies for February! Students have tons of new activities to choose from after our lesson and book exchange!
