It was a great day of wrestling at Firelands as some of the best teams in the state came to The Lands. We may have been short handed, but proud of the way we competed and got some great wins. Looking forward to getting back to full strength.

So extremely proud and excited for these two as they embark on this journey to the Olympic Training Site today to grow as wrestlers and young men. Both of these two young men have worked tirelessly to get where they are and now look to improve among the nations and worlds best!

All wrestlers in our program who are available need to be at FHS at 4:00 to help move mats over to SAMS for our camp. Won’t take long. There may be a chance we will do this earlier, if so you will all know tomorrow morning. Thanks !

Quick reminder: RBY camp on Saturday free to all Firelands wrestlers $25 to everyone else. We will need all of our guys who are available on Friday to move mats to South Amherst time TBA.

If any falcon wrestling supporters are available tomorrow come out to Elyria at 9:00am to watch Josiah, D’Mari, and Ruben compete in the Greco/Freestyle state Championships. And Payton will also be competing in the Greco and Freestyle State Qualifier for his age group!

The Roman Bravo-Young camp is free to all Firelands wrestlers FYI.

June 1st at 9am at South Amherst middle school we will be hosting a camp (2 sessions) the cost is $25 and you must have a USA wrestling card.... oh yeah and we are bringing this guy in to help out 😎

There are no freestyle practices at Avon this week. We will still have Greco practice on Wednesday at firelands at 5:30 and then there is a freestyle practice at Milan at 6:30 on Thursday.

Ruben was exceptional today I think he maybe spent 30-40 second on the mat 😂.

Greco results: Ruben Lorenzana 1st Payton Burgdorf 2nd Josiah Walbom 1st(default)

Weigh-ins for the delta qualifier begin at 7:00am and end at 7:30am Saturday. Greco starts at 9:00 with freestyle starting shortly thereafter.

Wrestlers grades 7-12 will have lifting tomorrow at 4:00 before Greco practice (k-12) starts at 5:30 hope to see as many of you as possible

I am sorry but I was just informed that Steve cannot make it tomorrow due to a work schedule change. So lifting is cancelled tomorrow. Freestyle starts Tuesday.

Wrestlers grades 7-12 there is lifting tomorrow at Noon. Park in the back and enter through the weight room.
