Hello! Thanks for your question. As I mentioned before, Ame’s hime-style haircut came from the idea that someone stuck gum in her hair, and she had to cut it. Since PCs in DoL tend to draw attention and are often bullied—and are typically portrayed as orphans without anyone to protect them—I wanted to reflect that in her backstory. So I came up with the idea that she had to cut her hair because someone put gum in it. Also, as I mentioned earlier, Ame isn’t very interested in styling her appearance. Because of that, even before cutting her side hair, she just kept her long hair neat and tidy, and her bangs were simply cut straight across. She didn’t tie her hair up or use a blow dryer to style it. She’s kind of a boring girl, isn’t she? ☺️
