So as some people know I am in the DSA, and have been for a while. I am still an ML, and the DSA is not an ML party. So I want to explain my rationale for why I am in it. If you disagree then feel free to share. I would love some sort of conversation on strategy for US socialists

@KitchenKnifeMan @resistancestan I don’t disagree with at least this either. I think they drop the ball tho on building dual power in the community, especially the communities that need it the most. I have both personal praise and disappointment in really all the orgs. I’m not arguing you shouldn’t join

1) grow org for independence
2) penetrate DNC to take over
3) penetrate DNC and then seperate later.
There no Leftist parties in the US that are viable. DSA is closest to it.

The main takeaway is that we need DSA or some other alternative to be running more candidates, endorsing them early and consolidating the progressive vote.
