Disclosure. When the police or the CPS fail to disclose they not only contribute to the innocent being convicted, they contribute to the guilty walking free. It undermines the entire CJS. When the failings in disclosure lead to appeals of the guilty remember that.

The major company dealing with criminal forensics (contracted out by the police / CPS) is being investigated for malpractice. There is evidence DNA has been tampered with and up to 5000 cases will now need to be looked into,

Well, the DPP is sticking to her script to the end. All is well on the good ship CPS. No problems of chronic underfunding. Minimal issues over disclosure. Staff all properly resourced and in no way overworked. Her staff, and the public, deserve better. #r4today

What a terrible article I read this morning! How do you expect a person who has beeen falsely accused to feel? Do you expect some sort of angel to come down and say yes your innocent? Or is it a case of guilty as soon as your accused ?
