This may be blasphemy, but I liked it even more than the first one. It trades the bite of the original for genuine sweetness without sentimentality. It allows the characters to grow and evolve in ways that feel natural. More mature in the best sense of that word. Less devilish, perhaps, but its warmth is welcome.
