@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Sure, whatever! I think it is better than animals if we can overcome genetic differences to achieve equality in proficiency and excellence for all. Isn't such a future better than what we have now?

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen I don't think it's better than animals, but if, in the far future, you want a better brain then you'll be able to get one, along with vampire powers and a castle on a hill to live forever in. Maybe a side effect is sunlight sensitivity.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen If an trans woman is on estrogen and on blockers pre-puberty, I think everyone can agree that we should let such an athlete compete. The divide typically is post-pubescent where there ought to be some standard as to where estrogen adaquately removes the testosterone's effects.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Fairness is nonsense, anyway. Of course some people will be genetically superior and defeat the others. Basketball players can't practice until they're 7ft tall. But if we're going to have women's sports, it makes sense to not fool around with mtf athletes.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen I think it's perfectly reasonable for men and women to be equals as humans, then. We can choose to be better than animals. Considering academic performance and post-academic performance, intellectually, I consider both to be equal and capable of contributing a lot to society.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen In many animals, the female is bigger, stronger, and smarter than the male. Just not in humans or most mammals. But the genes of humans can change, with or without our interference, so it might not always be the case.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Estrogen reduces muscle mass and volume, though, so a trans woman on estrogen for sufficient time is kind of fair game in sports. At least, in my perspective. People claim that women's brains are just as powerful because women and men are intellectually equally capable.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen I don't know why people want to claim that a woman's brain is as powerful as a man's. It's some nonsense egalitarian feel good trope. At least that's gone away on the physical side, where people can admit that men are stronger and ban trans athletes and such.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen If so, then if everyone can get brain improvements in the future, I think the genders getting equal treatment would be good since we'd all be equally exceptionally rational. Neither one or the other need be lower. It's good that you want to use your career to help people.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen We've only scratched the surface in the differences between male and female brain, largely because it's a taboo topic. I'd like to go into biotech in the next few years (atm I'm an electrical engineer). Ultimately, brain performance will be improved for everyone w/ gene tech.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Equally powerful structures. Men and women are capable of a lot of things, especially in highly intellectual fields, with both genders being highly accomplished even after puberty ends. There's a rather small gap between the genders of those who make publications and discoveries.

Nash@NashForge·
@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Well, there is an explanation for women performing better in some cases. Girls go through puberty sooner than boys. Their brains have a head start in development. Puberty is also longer and slower for boys. That's because they need to grow more powerful structures.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen While exercise (prominent in men) does lead to increased aerobic function and thereby brain function, the way testosterone works through the GH pathway is different from its neural function, where it's converted into estradiol for neural enhancement, which women also have.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Everything is connected in the human body. The larger frame and organs and everything contribute not only to stronger muscles, but also a stronger brain. But, we can see that a woman can be much more athletic than the average male with enough extra effort.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen It does not mean that men are better at everything, especially in verbal skills and reading comprehension, women do perform better than men. While men do excel more at abstract reasoning and mathematics. Different, not strictly better. Both are capable and useful for society.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen It's just that the differences would appear to mean that men are better at everything. That said, race is a stronger predictor of intelligence than gender, and nurture can matter as much as nature.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Well, there are physical strength differences between the two sexes. But due to the existence of tools and machinery, physical strength matters a lot less when it comes to capability. Intellectually, however, women are perfectly capable of matching men and being equals.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen It was just an off-hand comment, I wasn't expecting to have to go hunt down all the exact sources for you. Still, women are clearly lacking in capabilities compared to a man, due to the way genes control the growth of their bodies!

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Hormones and genes do affect the brain's performance but the differences in hormones and genes between males and females do not make one or the other strictly cognitively superior, just different. There's no literature or evidence for that inside or outside Campbell.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Alright, well it seems you found it. I think your line of questioning was only meant to catch me out as a larper or call me a liar or whatever, but hopefully now you can see that it's pretty obvious that genes and hormones control the brain's performance.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen I do care about the truth! And I appreciate your admitting you had things mixed up and clarifying that. And it wasn't a personal attack, I merely pointed out that you said it came from one place, when it actually came from another. Still, women are equally capable!

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen I clarified that I have multiple sources, but since you're a woman you don't care about the truth and just want to get mad. What's the point of you trying to personally attack me? It won't win you anything.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen This is the inquiry portion on chapter 51, also on migration, and it isn't free this is the epub they give with the 12th edition that I own! I think you might have a US version of the book instead of the UK/International version.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen That appears to be an online version? I thought you owned the book. Well, if that's online then it might look different, and if it's free it's probably not complete. Should be on chapter 51.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Look at your own words, girlie??? I told you you looked up the AI google summary for that parietal lobule claim and you told me you opened Campbell 12th edition. Like. You lied about that. It's funny.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen I didn't lie at all? I posted photos to prove I have the book, and I offered other sources too. I'm not just using one source for everything, obviously it's not all going to be crammed inside the same book if you have a specific question. Woman turning to personal attacks.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen I'm not I'm arguing you lied multiple times in this conversation </3 And it's really funny. The parietal lobe one is true, but women excel in verbal skills compared to men and have their own strengths. Neither one is absolutely superior.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen So you're arguing that men do not have larger parietal lobes than women, is that it? Here's a better source: Koscik, T., O’Leary, D., Moser, D. J., Andreasen, N. C., & Nopoulos, P. (2009). Sex differences in parietal lobe morphology: Relationship to mental rotation performance.

@Fan_art_lover @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen It doesn't directly say "male brain better" because you feminists would get your pitchforks out. But if you read and understand, you can see how genes work and that the Y chromosome alters the growth of the body dramatically, which results in the larger, higher performance state.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen A lacewing is an insect, girlie... And the migratory bird on is between two different populations. I'm afraid you might be biologically illiterate. Plus this is the look of the 12th edition which you cited. Quite a bit different from yours I'd say.

@NashForge @Frenchnuggies @yhdistyminen Your claim about male brains exhibiting enhanced performance due to brain volumes? Where's that in Campbell? Is my question. I was hoping you'd give me the Concept # in the book so I could take a look at it.
