@natbirdsy Sorry to start your morning off with the second hand stress lol But oh yeah it’s the absolute worst! I’m thankful they lasted as long as they did though, especially considering how much abuse those puppets went through between this and the other projects I used them in.

Fun little behind the scenes fact: this bit was one of the most frustatinging parts of Chapter 1. The wires in both knight puppets started breaking, and I didn't have an easy way to repair them, so it was a race against time to finish this sequence before total calamity!

May this be a lesson for all you beginning stop motion animators. When you make wire armatures, make sure you use brass tubes so you can replace parts when they inevitably break (and you don't have to make a desperate-cockamamie-temporary repair).

Yo! Somehow I became 30!

This little bit from my last animation was especially fun to do! I've had an intense desire to start incorporating traditional 2d animation segments into my stop motion work for years now, and this day dream sequence gave me the perfect excuse to do that.
