In 2025 both of them proved they don’t need a world title to make a segment or a match feel like the main event. Dom turned the Intercontinental Championship into must-see TV and became one of the most hated (and effective) heels in the company. Breakker looked like a monster every time he stepped through the ropes and was positioned as a future face of the brand. Now it’s mid-2026… and the question is getting louder: Why are they still being held back? Why do so many older stars continue to be protected while these two keep hitting the same ceiling? The talent is there. The heat is there. The potential to change the game is there. So what’s the hold up?

I find it completely frustrating to note that while Liv Morgan has been terribly booked as champion and the creative team is being criticized and slammed for such (as they deserve), no one gave Jade Cargill the same benefit of doubt when she was having the same issues.

A loss to Danhausen at a show like SummerSlam would be very damaging to Dom's career at this point. Having Dom lose that match would be one of the worst decisions WWE could make...
