@StarWarsDaily_ As much as a badass Samuel L & his character Mace Windu is, please no.
Sammy is 77 years old & I don’t want them to CGI Indy him as they did w/ Harrison Ford.

@lynnseywalehwa Workin that back-arch like the champ you are.
English

@TheMekon_Venus Uh, the Abyss (1989) came before Seaquest (1993).
English

Star Trek in the Ocean was an interesting idea.
After all it’s still not 100% explored.
Something James Cameron would use in his brilliant movie The Abyss.
The question. Did Seaquest do the idea justice for TV?
I have mixed feelings.
I never watched it like I did Trek.. just episodes here and there.

@retneysholocron It’s funny how Rey is suddenly a seasoned saber duelist after the SW franchise spent so much time emphasizing how grueling & hard the trading is to be good.
They should’ve had her lose or draw that 1st fight to emphasize the stakes. But that’s just me. 🤷🏻♂️

A common criticism of the ST is the choreography. But it actually fits the timeline.
These characters were trained in the wild, decades after the fall of the Jedi Order. The 7 forms fell out of practice. Even LUKE didn't learn them from Yoda, he only had books later. So Ben Solo wouldn't have been trained in them either.
There is no reason that these characters should fight like Prequel Jedi, and the ST duels are more similar to the OT duels, because they take place after the OT.

@lynnseywalehwa FYI: Anthony Bourdain does not recommend cooking bacon in the buff.
My compliments on how fantastic that cute bum looks in this shot.
English

@LawrenceShaheen 1.) can’t be done. It’s the old LucasFilms adage that “if it makes it on-screen, it’s canon. M” Even the holidays specialist officially canon.
English

I have been screaming this for years. The Zahn books helped save this franchise once. It can do it again. If you have never read these, they are fantastic.
Brigham's Burner@FiredUpCoug
How Disney can save the Star Wars franchise in two simple steps: 1) Declare that Kathleen Kennedy's sequel trilogy is non-cannon. 2) Replace it with Timothy Zahn's trilogy.

@jondelarroz This series was the sh*t back in the day!
For a long 8 years, we Star Wars fans had nothing in terms of the "continuing adventures of."
Technically we had that Ewoks live action series but we don't count that. I don't even think the games LucasArts put out was even a thing then

@blinkx666 17/17 Looks like post (3/16) didn't make it past the screening because this site is threatend by competition.
*sigh*
I tried.
English

@FarenellPhoto what emerging sites? people like where the best discourse/best content is, and that's tiktok and instagram. investing in your own website is pointless if you have 0 discoverability. i was banned because of an inactive account that triggered an account wide ban.
English

@blinkx666 16/16I don't remotely expect to change your mind or give what I said 2-seconds of thought.
But how is this not a toxic business relationship?
You keep spending time & $ into it & time & again, they keep kicking you out. You're obviously not what they're looking for.
English

@blinkx666 15/16 Furthermore if the business adage, "time = $" & they keep bouncing you & your friends' profiles, how is that not throwing $ down the drain. All that time "buidling up your following" to be summarily removed on a whim.
English

@blinkx666 14/16 I also post what I do because I "choose to" not because I "have to".
It's in SM company's interest to make us think you "need" them when it's literally the other way around. If you stop posting, they don't make money.
English

@blinkx666 13/16 Diversifying helps because all the algorithms are different.
The same pic you post on 6 different places can get 6 different reactions. It doesn't mean the pic you loved & sent to only 1 site is bad, it just caters to a different audience.
English

@blinkx666 12/16 I encourage diversifying ones online presence because the SM that's hip to do, ain't or won't always be. (Based off of 25 years experience).
English

@blinkx666 11/16 Which means people who actively WANT to follow me, literally can't follow me! I'm sorry but that's BS.
English

@blinkx666 10/16 Also what good is that reach when IG's programmmers have PUBLICLY said, they're doing the "snowball downhill" model. Meaning they only show what you post to the 1st 10% of your followers & if they react to it, they'll increasingly place it on the rest of your followers feed
English

@blinkx666 9/16You make a big tado about IG's reach but is it? I'm a "nobody" & can tell from my notifications that any new adds are clearly bots.
English

@blinkx666 7/16 Newsletters - Basically a quarterly/monthly promotional blurb promoting what you're doing & where sent directly to a subscriber's email address. It's a circuit-breaker in case any of you SM platforms get banned.
& all these suggestions are just off the top of my head.
English

@blinkx666 6/16 Threads - not sure what to make of this. The community can be a little unhinged if you have an opinion that goes against conventional wisdom but there's a lot of good parts to it & enjoy it when I'm smart enough to stay in my lane.
