Today is the perfect day to appreciate and connect with the sounds of our world. Take a moment to listen to the birds chirping, the wind blowing, or the sound of waves crashing on the shore. Let's take a break from our busy lives and enjoy the beautiful symphony surrounding us.

As music lovers, we think it's important to celebrate the genre that has brought us so many iconic artists and unforgettable songs. From Elvis, The Beatles, to Nirvana, rock 'n' roll has significantly impacted our culture and continues to inspire new generations of musicians.

❗️Save the date ❗️On June 30th we are partnering with the Frick, as part of their Summer Fridays at the Frick series, to host an instrument drive for kids in need. Bring a new or gently used instrument to donate and enjoy some music. This is a family friendly event!

Music and music therapy have become widely used and important parts of treatment for people with diagnoses on the autism spectrum disorder (ASD). People with ASD often show a heightened interest and response to music, making it an excellent therapeutic tool for working with them.

Our Play-It-Forward program, which provides new and gently used refurbished instruments to underprivileged youth, is the cornerstone of what we do. Visit farinafoundation.org for ways to support music access and education!

We love International Teach Music Week because it provides music lovers with the first step to getting started on their musical journey. Sometimes, the first step is the most difficult to take, but these celebrations provide us with the resources necessary for learning music.

What was the first instrument you learned how to play? For many of us, it may have been the recorder. In celebration of today, donate a new or used woodwind instrument to a child who is interested in learning.

Thank you to all of the amazing music teachers who help bring the joy of music to students of all ages. Not only do they teach but they also collect and distribute instruments to their students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford music education. Bravo!

Partnerships make our work possible and one of the amazing partners helping us bring music access to underprivileged youth is @brightonmusic Brighton Music Center takes the donated instruments and refurbishes them so we can distribute those instruments to kids who need them most!

Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day. Consider donating a new, or gently used instrument, to support a child’s musical dreams. All instrument donations go to kids who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford music lessons due to the cost of instruments. farinafoundation.org

As we honor Martin Luther King Jr Day, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on his most famous speeches “I have a dream." To our musical dreamers, how can you make your dreams come true?  If you have always dreamed of learning how to play an instrument, it’s NEVER too late.

What a way to kick-off 2023! Thank you to everyone who contributed to our instrument donation drive this weekend at @jergels . We collected guitars, clarinets, and multiple other instruments, and raised $350 to support music access and education for underprivileged children.
