@marupan_desu @snowingsweetie The Pokémon company can’t take your trading cards away, they belong to you. Loot boxes are a completely insular system where you own nothing and inevitably when the game shuts down you’re screwed. The game also decides what loot box you’ll get, and manipulates users

@marupan_desu @snowingsweetie Buying a physical card is different than gambling for digital licenses and Nintendo is not in charge of the tcg. Also it’s the us, at least they’re not shooting up a school

Posts like this fundamentally misunderstand what it means to manage a gaming platform and incentivize a consumer base. A LOT of people who think it’s dumb Sony and Nintendo don’t port their games en masse on day 1 to PC just don’t understand the end goal
