@dieworkwear FWIW, while David Hockney often wore a swatch (I’ve attached a pic of him wearing a swatch “chronotech” from 1984), that yellow watch isn’t a swatch. Also, David Lynch was a fan of a similar looking yellow swatch.

i've been thinking about what would be a good "one watch" across all wardrobes and i think it's a swatch. a $25k daytona with a suit is vulgar bc it's flashy, out of place, and a transparent display of wealth. but a swatch is fun, playful, and looks at home with everything

Your thoughtfulness is appreciated as always, but I feel like you only prove my point: - If you mainly wear suits and sport coats - If your wardrobe leans a bit more rugged - If your style leans a bit more contemporary and minimalist - If you like classic casual wear "If, then...." Meanwhile, I provide an option that covers all scenarios... And your default response - a datejust - is simply a boring, poor man's Daytona.

@dieworkwear As someone who collects vintage swatches, this isn’t a “women’s” watch, the line is literally called the “gent”, and is Swatch’s unisex line. There *is* however a matching ladies version in 25mm called the “Fruitti”.
That eBay listing was mis-labeled.

@ChanningKing Been listening to Sade since 1998, and MST3K was my introduction. During Samson vs the vampire women they riff that one of the vampires looks like Sade and start singing Your Love is King. I was intrigued (as I was with most riffs that went over my head) so I sought out her music

Ten days out from Star Wars Celebration, and my cosplay outfit is complete. I am going as “The Master Code Breaker”, who was briefly seen in The Last Jedi. I wanted to go in cosplay that was “suit adjacent”, and I already had most of the pieces in my closet. I spent less than $7!

@Brian_Ashcraft Some higher ups at Kadokawa went to show him some new digital tools they developed that could display characters with “zombie like” movement, which he took extremely offense to as it was insulting to, like you said, people with movement disabilities.

Today’s extremely high level style super power: with no dimensions or size provided, I was able to identify, merely by eye, a set of two suits for sale online that fit me perfectly. Just studying one grainy pic closely gave me enough info to correctly identify the sizing.

Hideaki Anno is 64 years old, and is currently working on 5 separate projects, and is also trying to get a sequel to Shin Kamen Rider going.
While I want nothing more than Anno to find peace, if he wants to be like Miyazaki and continue working til his 80s, I’m not complaining.

been following this japanese guy online for 20 years. first he had a blog, then youtube, and now instagram. all he does is post pics of himself wearing cool outfits, visiting his mom's gravesite, and hanging out with friends in walkable neighborhoods. A+ content
