@OddStockTrader I teach personal finance in a wealthy NJ suburb. Students cannot read anymore. They have been taught to read and write using Columbia Teachers College curriculum, which has been debunked by research. When presented with the research, the district doubled down on it.

I think your $ADBE exit was 🤌 since Adobe will still defend their base but don't think there will be an AI tailwind because they lost the value capture layer since creative output is now scaling without seats.

Teacher here. Students need basic skills in order to grapple with advanced concepts. That is currently not happening. Schools in my area of NJ focus on the superficial things that trick the community into thinking learning is taking place. I like to think about Kobe Bryant and how he learned to be one of the best. He talked about learning and practicing the most basic things over and over because he knew it was impossible to be the next MJ without learning and mastering the most essential things.

I’m good at using the internet, and better than most people at extracting value from AI. This is despite the fact that I grew up when none of this existed. The idea that we have to teach kids today’s technology so that they’re good with future technology is obviously nonsense.

Exactly this. 50,000 school aged children in town, but only 6,000 go to public school. Other 44,000 go to religious schools. Those religious schools require separate transportation for boys and girls, which costs taxpayers millions. This is just one example. NJ politicians must be getting some piece of this scam.

This is only a small tip of the Lakewood iceberg...They classify their Jewish kids as special needs so they can go to publicly funded Jew schools—bus them in gender specific buses which costs a fortune and the regular Lakewood NJ high school has no Jews in it—just all blacks and Hispanics and it’s a shitshow. You gotta look into this it’s insane. They pay their Jew lawyer more than anyone in the whole state to make everything happen. Same stuff with the welfare fraud and abuse etc... They classify them special education so they can attend their Jew schools….they use the guise of federal IDEA act—which is intended for kids with disabilities. So they pay a high powered attorney to make it all possible which results in basically yashiva schools with gender specific busing. Google it. It’s nuts. Spent 88 million on bussing alone!!!
