This weekend felt like old times when I used to take pics of trains. Texting with friends, finding my spot, getting the right angle, and executing the shot. I miss it at times, but I just don’t have the time to go out as often as I used to. So I’ll take what I can get.

@realjasonstru There were tons of people out everywhere, there were a handful who were tempting fate by doing something dumb. I had this spot picked out for months. Shot here about 8 years before hand and knew it was a perfect spot. Got there 3 hours early to make sure I got a spot,

@FatPowerForward It passed through Johnstown earlier and from what I’ve seen on the videos, you could get kinda close but vehicles were out of the question. Although now that I think of it, could have been an accessibility issue. But even so, ppl weren’t as close as you were.

Mission accomplished. 3 1/2 hours in the sun. Worth it.

@realjasonstru Not normally, most of the people were respectful and parked after enough off the right of way. I think there were about 200 people here. There were a ton of the behind me as well.

Going out trackside tomorrow to catch UP4014, the Big Boy steam locomotive. Got my spot picked out already. Gonna get there a few hours early to make sure I have a good angle.

I was watching a live video of PNC park from KDKA studios when the Bucs announced a 6:50 start. It was pouring, and the tarp was even on yet…..made me laugh. You just knew that start time wasn’t happening.

What's your go to pen?

Upgraded my display at work. My farsightedness is getting worse as I get older and I needed a better light source to read emails and orders I print out. This one is nice. Adjustable, lights up my desk area, and uses a USB cable to plug into the back of my computer.

Week 1 of trying to get healthy again down. Stepped on the “Whale Scale” Down 2.3 lbs. I guess what I’m doing is working. Feeling good.

I hope @AndrewWk decides to tour again. Want to see him in a small venue. Those shows were awesome.
