@keleytumi @Dee__Faku @SABCNews Cape Town to KZN can be between 18 to 20 hrs depending on the tenacity of the driver/s that is excluding others factors like weather challenges.

@CucsmanE A sobering perspective, not entirely agree with your take but I believe it helps all of us to ponder, evaluate and introspect on how humanely we navigate the mess both ANC and ZANU-PF have created. No to vigilantism, xenophobia, cowardice , criminality forward with activism.

As a Zimbabwean, it has long been my wish to see every Zimbabwean living in South Africa return home. At one point, this desire grew so intense that I even found myself wishing for serious tensions in South Africa that might drive our people back. I believed and I still believe that the constituency of Zimbabweans living in South Africa is the missing link to solving our political problems. If we were to unite, dedicate ourselves, and demand the dignity we deserve, ZANU-PF would not be able to continue their current course.
However, my perspective on this has changed; I have been awakened. I now realize that the decision to allow Zimbabweans to flock to South Africa was more political than economic. It is well-known that the exodus began in the early 2000s, with a significant escalation in 2007–2008. During this period of crisis, opposition supporters were targeted by Mugabe. The South African government subsequently shielded ZANU-PF, telling the world there was no crisis in Zimbabwe. It was during this same period that South Africa introduced the DZP (Dispensation of Zimbabweans Project) permit, which allowed undocumented Zimbabweans to apply for legal status.
The underlying intent was not to help Zimbabweans, but to assist ZANU-PF. They knew that allowing citizens to leave would reduce internal political pressure, and it worked. Since then, crossing the Limpopo River has become a culture for many Zimbabweans, some of whom have lost the appetite to fight against the misrule we have been subjected to for over 40 years.
With this in mind, it is crucial for South Africans to understand that Zimbabweans will likely never leave South Africa unless the government itself decides otherwise. This appears to be a political arrangement between the ANC and ZANU-PF. The more Zimbabwe collapses, the more people flee to South Africa; it remains this way because it has been structured as such. Currently, ZANU-PF is planning to extend Mnangagwa’s tenure to 2030 and potentially turn Zimbabwe into an official one-party state. If this happens, South Africa must brace itself for an even greater influx of migrants.

The Democratic Republic of Congo🇨🇩 has today morning received at least 45 deportees from the United States, security sources confirm, as the Trump administration steps up migrant removals to African countries.
None of the deportees are from #DRC. They are largely from Central and South America.
President Felix Tshisekedi's government has set up facilities in the capital Kinshasa to accommodate the these deportees.
#DRC now joins a small but growing list of African nations, including Uganda, Ghana, Cameroon, South Sudan, Equatorial Guinea and Eswatini, in receiving third-country nationals deported from the United States.

There’s a show that’s gonna air soon called Mgidi Moms. Please watch it and see what Xhosa men are dealing with. You’ll understand why the Xhosa nation is so fragmented. After that show, please watch uTatakho, you’ll understand further what’s wrong with the Xhosa nation. Then look at Oscar Mabuyanes behaviour the past two days whilst EC was burning.

@yomiable For years I thought, you are all the same with these kind of Nigerians we have here in South Africa, yhooo these guys do not have any respect for anyone or thing. After this incident I will have different attitude. Not all Nigerians are like the most of the criminals we habour.

@Anelefumba @Anunakin It is concerning for people to be uttering things, and when they are challenged. They offer nothing cognitive and logically.

@Absolute_Kganki I am one of the people who defended u Bawo Zizi, but this time I draw the line, he is indeed so detached to the realities of the ordinary South Africans, he is dismissive of any concerns from citizens and knows more about the challenges of foreign nationals.
English

I strongly think a lot of South Africans don’t understand President Thabo Mbeki, and they misdirect their ‘valid’ anger towards him; but they just don’t understand the former head of state. I don’t know if I’m the only person who thinks Zizi is being misunderstood, especially how he explains complex issues. 🖤💚💛🇿🇦

🚨WITHOUT KAIZER CHIEFS FANS, SAFA STILL GAINED.
Over 100,000 Fans Buy Bafana Jersey Ahead of World Cup.
Adidas and Bafana Bafana have made a big splash with their new national team jersey. In just two days, over 100,000 Bafana Bafana jerseys were sold, bringing in over R180 Million in sales. This shows how excited fans are ahead of the 2026 World Cup, despite some Kaizer Chiefs fans Boycotting Bafana.
The jerseys were officially available in stores and online from 20 March 2026. Fans have been rushing to get their hands on the home kit, which features the new design unveiled by the South African Football Association and Adidas. The early sales alone already contributed to R180 Million, a record for a football kit in South Africa.
Adidas said they are working hard to keep up with the demand, as total sales are expected to exceed R180 Million before the World Cup. Supporters are proud to wear the national colours and back Bafana Bafana in style.

UNDERMINE CYRIL’S COURAGE AT YOUR OWN PERIL
By Dr Zamani Saul, Provincial Chairperson ANC Northern Cape
08 March 2026
Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of South Africa, has shown great courage in the global front. Yesterday, he joined and addressed with great courage the home-going service of Reverend Jesse Jackson in the US, just a few days after calling the US/Israel war against Iran as “madness”.
This is a man who took a very strong stance against Israel’s genocide against the Palestinians. He took Israel, the closest ally of the US, to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), something unheard of. He went to the White House, not to beg for clemency, but to face-to-face challenge the lies peddled by the Trump Administration of a genocide against white minority group in South Africa. He fearlessly dished a scathing criticism of the Trump Administration's violation of the territorial sovereignty and integrity of Venezuela and the illegal arrest of President Nicolas Maduro.
From the home-going service of Rev Jackson, our president headed to Brazil, which highlights his commitment to building strong ties among emerging economies. Brazil is another arch-rival of the Trump Administration. By the visit to Brazil, President Ramaphosa recognises the importance of cooperation between countries in the Global South.
By engaging with Brazil, the President aims to foster economic growth and address common challenges faced by developing nations, particularly with this rogue Trump Administration. The Brazil visit is a part of his broader strategy to promote trade and development in Africa and beyond. We have a president we can be proud of.
Kudos to our President👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿

Nigerian Family Who Claim to Have Fled Xenophobia and Threats in South Africa Deported from Ireland on R11 Million Charter Flight, Back to Mzansi
A Nigerian mother and her three children, who sparked public debate over their forced removal from Ireland, were deported to South Africa on Saturday. Titilayo Oluwakemi Oyekanmi and her sons Samuel (18), Joseph (14) and Genesis (5) left Dublin after living in Ireland since 2023, following a rejected asylum application.
The charter flight carrying 63 deportees, including nine children, landed in Johannesburg yesterday at 4am. The operation involved An Garda Síochána, medical staff, an interpreter, and a human rights observer. The Department of Justice confirmed the flight cost €585,075 [≈R11million] and marked the second deportation operation of the year, and eighth since 2025.
Ms Oyekanmi claims she fled South Africa with her children due to threats and xenophobic attacks, including a kidnapping. She had been moved from an IPAS centre in Sandyford to one-bedroom accommodation in Castleknock last month. Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan described charter flights as routine enforcement, while supporters criticized the lack of notice and compassion toward the family.
Under Minister O’Callaghan, deportation orders increased by 97% from 2024 to 2025. Charter flights are preferred for transporting groups efficiently and maintaining immigration enforcement. The family’s removal highlights ongoing tensions between the state’s immigration policies and humanitarian concerns, leaving Ms Oyekanmi and her children back in South Africa under the government’s deportation mandate.

@valavoosh If my wife were to that I will divorce her, that is the highest disrespect. The issue of circumcision cannot be decided by a woman and her family in man headed household whether traditional or western way. A man is the head of the family not the other way round.

Awu, I thought Batswana also observed initiation, so it’s odd they didn’t hold space for the father’s wishes? But more egregious is not consulting him about what is ultimately a medical procedure. Also just robbed the boy of a choice.
