@Jesuislibis @KEBuHCAH Its very plausible actually its a linguistic phenomenon called "rebracketing" and its happened many times. The most recent example is Alzeimer's, in arabic the "Al" was interpreted as a definitive article and its mow dropped both in classic and dialectic arabic

@KEBuHCAH That does not sound credible. Also there is no single standard Moroccan Arabic. Northerners call the Tomatish which is a calque of Spanish Tomates. It would have been clear to Moroccans that this was a foreign loan word and not Berber.

realizing that the reason tomatoes are called mātīša in Moroccan Arabic is probably because the first "t" in "tomates" was interpreted as a Berber feminine prefix and dropped 🤯🍅

true at the same time and that's what's fascinating about Dean as a character. In his mind Dean IS protecting Sam (or at least, his idea of "Sam") no matter what but is so dogmatic about what that means that he doesn't mind harming him in the process
