@FatimaAli1298 @ImBreckWorsham Sorry, I'm not looking to have a conversation with anyone who is in a cult that considers those who disagree with them as mortal enemies. I grew up when Congresspeople could argue fiercely on their body's floor, then go to lunch and work out a compromise that helped people.

@FatimaAli1298 @Pontifex The Catholic Church has ready made NGO’s that have been taking American dollars and using those funds ostensibly to assist immigrants. Now that USAID has dried up, the Vatican can use their own largesse to forge solutions.

These new generations of kids are the wildest and most ignorant. I don’t go outside to run errand between 1:30 and 4:30 pm when they’re let out.
Hard to say if the officer should’ve slammed that female student. I’d probably say no because he’s that much bigger and stronger.

@BobLoblaw0402 You got me there. I had to look that one up. Switzerland does not have a statutory minimum wage. But their minimums range from 21 CHF and the Swiss average of 40 CHF. For reference 21 CHF = $26.98 in US dollars.

RAISING THE MINIMUM WAGE
This is one of the biggest Oklahoma ballot questions of 2026. Voters will decide whether to gradually raise Oklahoma’s minimum wage from $7.25 per hour to $15 per hour by 2029. It appears on the June 16, 2026, ballot.
A full-time worker should not be stuck in poverty. At the same time, policy needs to avoid crushing the small businesses that hire neighbors and veterans.
Many voters will see this as a question of fair pay vs economic strain.

Today broke my heart.
While we were feeding the unhoused on Skid Row, two individuals began giving out bottles of liquor. Gallon size bottles of Vodka and small bottles of Fireball
In a place where people are fighting for their lives…
why bring something that destroys lives?
We serve over 1,200 meals a month because people need hope—not alcohol.
Two young men showed up to Skid Row—not to help…
but to hand out bottles of liquor.
While we were serving hot meals to people fighting to survive, they brought alcohol into a community already battling addiction, homelessness, and hardship.
This is not compassion.
This is not charity.
This is harm.
