@RichardWellings @UxbEconomist07 Starting to make NI’s economy look good - the upside of Stormont’s inability to agree anything is it can’t enact many proactively anti-business policies.

People who are pushing offshore detention and deportation as policy solutions are not being honest about the financial costs, the human consequences, or the way these things violate international law.

@Fatlad19211 Yes, and the most mutually beneficial and practical route to same would be via UK membership of the Euro.

This is racist & hate-mongering & anti-biblical. What would Jesus do? Definitely not this! I am extremely disappointed that the Grand Lodge of Ireland has not explicitly condemned this. BBC News - Bonfire with mosque replica placed on top set alight bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@MartinG1492 @WillJanice As a footnote, while Jesus overturned the money lenders’ tables and drove out animals in the temple with a whip, I don’t believe He physically attacked people.

@WillJanice Who did Jesus attack physically? The merchants & moneylenders in the temple. There is no record in the Gospels of Jesus acting in a hateful way to any pagan. Look at how he treated the centurion whose servant was ill. The phonoecian woman. The Samaritan who was a leper.

.@GRobinsonDUP during today's joint Home Affairs Committee and Northern Ireland Affairs Committee - officials are aware of people arriving in Dublin being directed to Belfast. But it only seems to become an issue if they attempt to travel to Great Britain.

‘Neo-liberalism’ and ‘trickle down’ are just buzz words of know nothing pontificators. They use them because they think it makes them sound smart. It doesn’t. And they are unbecoming someone about to become prime minister. We deserve deeper, more considered analysis.
LBC@LBC

'It's an end to neoliberalism and trickle-down economics which did not trickle down very much at all.' Andy Burnham signals that he will take a ‘very different’ political direction when he becomes Prime Minister, promising a more 'inclusive approach' to government.

@GAHargan Yes, a lease is a common sort of deal. It looks like the BBC will commit to leasing the space for a minimum number of days per year which will enable it to end the lease on Blackstaff House, presumably saving money.

Naomi Long also thinks it's a good idea to have biological males imprisoned with females. She also advocated for puberty blockers for kids. I could go on but you can probably see the progressive liberal pattern developing. Vote for a progressive liberal party and you are on a slippery slope.
