@FaustianCrow @RudeJackalope Brother, your logic is the one that's flawed. You're dismissing my criticism simply because Caine isn't literally a human when even the show itself disagrees with this. The whole moral of the series is that your feelings matter in a fake world.

The new TACD episode is genuinley awful like what the fuck. They literally just made Caine into AM and destroyed any complexity of his character by making him a cliché badguy before literally throwing him away. It's almost as contrived as the end of Unicorn Warriors Eternal

@CadenGlick68700 @chovygoat If you're gonna start making excuses like this, you can literally apply it for whenever T1 loses badly like this. It's ultimately just speculation, but the reality of the matter is that G2 has always been a decently strong team. Victory over LCK was never impossible for them.

@spi3lzeug @RudeJackalope I think overall your logic is flawed on the grounds that Caine is simply not human. Not only is his mind not that of a human, he has virtually unlimited power inside of the virtual world. Ergo why the the kid allegory is relevant.

His feelings were hurt and that's why he put the cast through psychological torture, because he is under the impression he is inflicting the same pain that they did to him. Literally all he wanted was someone to talk to and this could have been avoided

@spi3lzeug @RudeJackalope There's a resemblance of humanity in Caine because he is ultimately the product of the human mind. This however, does not make him in any way "essentially human" or "spiritually human". And that sort of nuance is what makes AI characters fascinating.

He doesn't understand things we do. Ergo he lacks a sense of developed empathy. He's not innocent, no. But he's also not necessarily evil
