Sunday at #ADA2024 in Orlando new data from positron emission tomography (PET) and X-ray computed tomography (CT) studies of BCG vaccinated type 1 diabetics, one of the multiple BCG T1D trials at MGH BCG lowers blood sugar levels without contribution from endogenous insulin.

Amazing BCG vaccine effects in new study by @FaustmanLab: In type 1 diabetics, BCG vaccine provided protection against COVID-19 (p=0.023) and strong protection against all infectious diseases (p<0.0001). In contrast, COVID-19 mRNA vaccine alone provided no protection.
