Why Supply APY & Borrow APR Show 0% And What Happens When Liquidity Enters A few people have asked why the equity markets (AAPL, AMZN, NVDA, TSLA, MSTR) show 0.00% for both Supply APY and Borrow APR. Here's the honest answer and the math behind it. Liquihood uses a kinked interest rate model, the same mechanism used by protocols like Aave and Compound. Rates are not fixed or manually set. They move dynamically based on one variable: utilization. Utilization (U) = Total Borrowed ÷ Total Supplied If U ≤ 80%: Borrow APR = (U ÷ 0.80) × 6.5% If U > 80%: Borrow APR = 6.5% + ((U − 0.80) ÷ 0.20) × 60% Supply APY = Borrow APR × U × 90% (10% goes to the protocol reserve)
