OVER AT MBARARA: Our peer educators are live and in charge in Western Uganda at Kashaka Girls Secondary School. We believe that when young people speak to peers who support them to make empowered, healthy life decisions around health, education, and careers, they are better equipped to live with a framework they can trust and have confidence in. #TobaBully #PEA26 #RAHUAt15

It was an honour to join my mentor @KKariisa at the health camp for the Mama Kariisa Maternity Ward in Ntungamo. Seeing the community turn up for health care services like family planning and screenings is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we share a common vision for progress. Individual effort isn't enough; improving health outcomes in Uganda requires the private sector, the government, and well-wishers working side by side. While we’ve made progress, our maternal mortality rate still stands at 189 deaths per 100,000 live births. In regions like Western Uganda, the gap in consistent antenatal care and nutrition is a challenge we must face head-on; access to these services shouldn't be a luxury; it's a right.  This mission sits at the core of Reach A Hand. We believe that by providing health services and education, we give every mother and young person a fair shot at a healthy life. I am proud to join hands with my mentor in yet another shared passion: improving the health and well-being of young mothers and babies at the community level.

It’s fun galore with our peers this Saturday with students from @EyesOnUIAHMS! We’ll be diving into health power talks, edutainment, peer sessions, and more interactive moments where we guide each other through our individual journeys. We’re looking forward to meaningful conversations with our peers in the ways we know best, as we tap into our shared strength, talents, and actions that make young people a driving force for the future. This morning, I was honoured to host @KKariisa at my home in Katereza, Rwampara District. It meant a lot to my family to host a man who continues to open countless doors for me and thousands of other young people. Every conversation inspires me to dream bigger, and we’re taking those dreams to the next level by collaborating on a project that will catapult Ugandan film to the global stage.
