With yet another weekend of football being called off due to the poor weather, is it time to start thinking about moving the grassroots football into the warmer months as the FA don’t invest enough on all weather pitches that also don’t cost £200 to play on?…..

Massive 3 points earned today, after going in at the break 2-1 down the boys rallied and put in a hard fought second half display to turn the tide and nick the three points needed in what can only be described as a true Sunday league battle. #wesfa #selk #grassroots

Top result today against @GChallengeFC 2-0 up then 2-2, no heads dropped and the boys went on to win 4-2 credit to Greenwich they battled to the end and gave us a great battle. On to the semis up the rovers!! #selk #wesfa #grassroots #cup

5-2 loss against bare bare 11… attitudes were not great silly errors leading to goals. We’ve got to pick ourselves up and dust off and go again next week.

Very heavy defeat this morning a 7-1 loss and hats off to @hayespickhurst a very good young side who should go far in the competition.

So we’re in a pickle! Our home ground is being ripped up and we will find ourselves without a pitch for at least 12 weeks starting November.. so if anyone can help us out with a pitch we would be grateful. We drink after every game regardless help us out

Season opener today against @ChimairaFc saw what could possibly be the fastest goal scored by a sub in any level of football @LeeThraves comes on 6 seconds on the pitch bangs a goal to take it to 4-2 and subs himself back off. Was on the pitch less than 30 seconds in total 😆
