These rules are not meant to harass anyone, but to protect the common people. However, till now no clear official statement has been issued. Because of this silence, banks and bankers are facing severe trolling and criticism merely for performing their lawful duties and complying with regulatory guidelines. UP Governance or Ego Trip? DM Orders BANKERSS to Camp Office at 7 PM. What’s happening in Etah is not administration, it’s pure arrogance. @DM_Etah Prem Ranjan Singh sends a WhatsApp message basically announcing that branch managers’ “progress is disappointing,” and then orders them to appear at his camp office at 7 PM, like they’re some kind of personal servants. 7 PM? Camp office? For targets forced on bankers by the government itself? This is not leadership. This is a DM behaving like he is above everyone, beyond accountability, and beyond basic respect. And let’s be clear: Bankers are not robots. Bankers are not slaves. Bankers are not your private workforce. They are human beings handling crores of public money with zero staff and zero support. Yet under the current UP Government’s culture: - Schemes are pushed without planning - Targets are dumped without logic - Staff shortages are ignored - And then officials like Prem Ranjan treat bankers as if they are not even human This is not “good governance.” This is ego governance. And that’s exactly why this incident needs action from the top. @myogiadityanath must intervene NOW: 1. Cancel this humiliating 7 PM meeting immediately. 2. Remove DM Prem Ranjan Singh from this post for treating frontline workers like disposable labor. 3 Set guidelines so no DM or district official can misuse their position to intimidate bankers late at night. Because if a DM can behave like he is God, and bankers are supposed to just bow down… then what’s left of governance? What’s left of dignity? What’s left of basic humanity? This is not how a state treats professionals. This is not how public servants should be managed.
