🚨 Steve Holland on Matthijs de Ligt’s injury situation at Manchester United:
“Everyone at the club is disappointed for Matthijs because no player wants to go through another serious injury setback or surgery.”
“But at the same time, Manchester United is a football club that needs stability and reliability if they want to compete again at the highest level.”
“You need players who can show up every three days, every week, every month. That consistency is what builds top teams.”
“That is why players like Bruno Fernandes are so valuable. Managers trust players who are always available, always fighting and always ready to perform.”
“With centre-backs especially, consistency is everything. Partnerships, rhythm and understanding only come when players stay fit and available.”
“It becomes very difficult to build a defensive structure around players who continue suffering injury problems because every setback forces the team to restart again.”
“Manchester United are trying to return to the Champions League and compete seriously again, and for that you need defenders who are stable, physically reliable and available throughout the season.”
“The club will support Matthijs completely through his recovery, but long term Manchester United need centre-backs they can depend on day in, day out.”

🚨 BREAKING NEWS !!!
Manchester United are set to promote Chido Obi to the senior squad next season, with the highly-rated youngster expected to compete alongside Šeško as the club’s main striking options.
Michael Carrick is believed to be delighted with Chido Obi’s attitude, intensity, and clinical edge for the U21s, where the teenage forward has bagged 20 goals and provided 6 assists this season.
The youngster’s sharp movement, eye for goal, and relentless work ethic have reportedly convinced the United boss that he is ready to make the step up to senior football next campaign.

@utdcynical Look, i watched 20mins of the game at 1-1, and a few highlight reels, he’ll make it as a senior pro but not at a huge level like Utd, and chido, he is going to really struggle
English

@FrankEra_ They were battered and where lucky it was a small score line - Fletcher is only admirable in his ability to stay employed at Utd

🚨🎙️ | Darren Fletcher HITS OUT at the FA after losing the Cup final:
"I'm disappointed in the FA for EVERYTHING that's gone around this game: for the location, for everything.”
"You have to respect the opposition. But not when Man City TAKE OVER an FA Youth Cup. It's an FA competition. It should never have been like that.
"I've never heard individual coaches be shouted out and every individual player be shouted out. That does NOT happen in these cup finals.
“It's an FA competition and it felt like it was a Man City competition for this whole build-up to the game and in terms of how we had to deal with that at the end.
"That's my one gripe for tonight. But the best team won, compliments to them."

@AaronMaher95 Yes and no, U20’s and senior is the same game but a completely different sport, it shows great potential but they have adapt to a few years of v v hard work

@UtdForever7 @ManUtd This thinking we need a ‘partner’ or ‘complimentary’ player for Kobbie is bullshit - Kobbie does not start for City, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool atm - a utd should be buying players better than him to make him better, nothing good comes from this level of idolatry
English

🚨I see him as a perfect balanced partner for Kobbie. His positional intelligence is excellent and he constantly organizes teammates out of possession — definitely a LEADER.
BRING HIM @ManUtd — He wants us! 👀👇

🚨🗣️Question: If you could travel back in time and play in any football era, which era are you choosing? 🗣️ Mateus Fernandes: ‘Cristiano in Manchester — United was UNBELIEVABLE in that time and Cristiano was amazing.’ *Get it done @ManUtd — he is a fan! ♥️

@morganlinton adjust a white cluttered version of apple fitness app - probably had 4 teams on this and took a bit of everyone’s idea - the shooter way, copy but don’t focus
English

Am I the only one that thinks the UX is terrible here?
It looks so busy, totally cluttered, too many colors.
And the sleep chart looks exactly like the Apple Watch, so surprised they didn’t come up with their own original idea for how to visualize this.
I have no horse in this race, pre-ordered the Fitbit Air, excited to try it.
But from a pure UX perspective, definitely think WHOOP has much cleaner, more original design.
That being said, I have no brand loyalty, so if the Fitbit Air is more accurate, even if I don’t love the UX, I would cancel my WHOOP and switch.

Sir Dave Brailsford is officially no longer a director at Manchester United, as confirmed by a document on Companies House.
It was reported last June that Brailsford's role at the club was being scaled back as part of a reshuffle by INEOS.

English

@samuelluckhurst Brailsford was and is a complete corporate fraud - He cheated in cycling, wormed his way into Ratcliffes circle (he spews generic sporting tropes v v v well). Jim leveraged to the hilt needed is so called expert to deliver on above tropes and was found severely out of his depth
English

Sir Jim Ratcliffe said to us in February 2024 that Sir Dave Braislford 'will be a success at Manchester United'. His tenure coincided with their worst season in 51 years and he has been off the scene all season. Brailsford was still listed as a director in Sunday's programme #mufc
